Living healthy gets easier day by day!
And if you are someone who has never lived "healthy" then you know that this change can be intimidating.
If I'm being completely honest, when I started my health journey it was anything but graceful and pretty. I was doing it in a way that was unhealthy!
As my journey has transformed I wanted to shared a few things that have helped pave my path to a healthy life.
AND, as I start this I want you to know ANYtime is a good time to start, do it for the right reasons and in YOUR season of life.
1. Find your motivation!
Obviously everyone wants to be comfortable in their own skin BUT also do it for your overall health and what YOU want.
When you get use to feeling tired and having no energy its easier to make the changes and FEEL the difference instead of waiting to see them. When you start waiting it can becomes a quick let down.
Know you should feel the change before you see them.
2. SET A TIME!
Don't give yourself a chance to opt out!
Talking your self out of working out or getting up and moving can become easy.
If you set time aside daily or on particular days it becomes easier.
3. Find the physical activity you LIKE
I love trying new activities!
And some I LOVE are yoga, cycling, sculpting, hiking, core strengthening, and running.
Trying new activities relieves stress and can also help you can get stronger.
I love the idea of doing something that you enjoy instead of making a work out a "job" like activity.
4. Swap
Find recipes to your favorite foods and learn how to swap out unhealthy recipes for healthy ones! EDUCATE yourself.
DONT be afraid to trial something new!
5. Processed foods
Again, this is where educating comes in.
These food are a leading reason for weight gain and skin issues.
6. This should be a given but drink more water and less soda!
7. Support System
It can be hard if you don't have people around you supporting you.
In my house when we eliminate something it means the whole house eliminates it ! its not included in our grocery runs so there is no temptation.
If you don't have people around you to do this, look upon social media for motivation and accountability.
8. Mindset
Know that this is not an overnight process.
The slower you lose weight the easier it will be for you to maintain.
Do it the right way so you can maintain your "healthy".
9. Have fun
I said this above but when it seems like a job it makes it harder to stick with it and it won't become a life style.
You want to incorporate this in every aspect which means activities, vacations, and hobbies! Be adventurous and try new things.
It will become a habit and become effortless because you enjoy this life and are so much more mindful.
YOU are in total control.
